Anneliese van der Pol’s father Willem van der Pol is Dutch, and director of the Physical Plant at the California State University in Fullerton, California. Her mother Dyan Ross is an American. She has two older sisters Rachel and Sarah. When she was only three years old, her family moved to United States so she has dual citizenship. She has a very nice English accent and also speaks Dutch.
Anneliese van der Pol enrolled in Washington Elementary School, California and graduated from the theatre program of ‘Orange County High School of the Arts’. In 1999, she portrayed Eva Peron in the Buena Park Civic Theatre production of ‘Evita’. In ‘Austin, Texas Musical Theatre’ production of ‘Oklahoma!’, Van der Pol appeared as Laurey which earned her the Austin Critics Table Award nomination for ‘Best Actress in a Musical’. On Disney Channel hit ‘That’s So Raven’, she appeared as Chelsea Daniels, Raven’s best friend. She has also appeared in several Disney Channel Games as a member of the Red Team. She also had a minor role in ‘Bratz: The Movie’ as Avery.
In 2004, Van der Pol recorded a song ‘Over It’ and her second solo recording was ‘A Day in the Sun’ . In 2007, she made appearance on ‘Beauty and the Beast’ as Belle. She later appeared on ‘Live with Regis and Kelly’ and talked about her role of Belle. Her movie credits include ‘Divorce: The Musical’, ‘Express Yourself’, ‘Totally Suite New Year’s Eve’, ‘Horror High’, ‘Katbot’ etc.

Anneliese van der Pol appeared as Chelsea Ophelia Daniels on ‘That’s So Raven‘. She was Raven’s best friend and was not a bright girl as she lacked common sense. Her catchphrase was ‘That makes more sense!’ and ‘This is awkward’. She also appeared in ‘Cory in the House’. She secured a strong fan base with her portrayal of Chelsea on ‘That’s So Raven’.
